We are excited to share with you the NAU College of Education will be sponsoring its First Annual Culturally Responsive Practice in Indigenous Early Childhood Education Conference this summer in June!  We strongly encourage early childhood education professionals and practitioners with your organization to submit a proposal to present ($50 registration fee per presenter) or register as an attendee ($80 per person).

As a presenter, this is an opportunity to share with others your involvement in implementing and advocating for culturally responsive practices in indigenous early childhood education environments, Prek-3rd grade.  Presenters will conduct 1-2 breakout sessions depending on the number of proposals received and approved.

Current presentation tracks/session topics include:

  • Language Immersion
  • Developmentally Effective Practices
  • Parent Engagement
  • The Role of Standards
  • Literacy Development
  • Math in the Early Years
  • Science in the Early Years
  • The Importance of Play
