Professional Identity
Big News! The Registry is Relaunching with a Focus on You.
After years of hard work and valuable feedback, the Registry is preparing to unveil a comprehensive refresh. This isn’t just a design update—we’ve rebuilt the platform to spotlight what matters most: your professional identity.
Beginning December 2025, the Registry will feature all three elements of your professional identity: your education, experience and goals. The new look and features are designed to help you showcase your strengths in a more intuitive and dynamic way.

Why Educator Designations?
NAEYC’s Power to the Profession organizes the formal education of early childhood educators into three designations: ECE I, II and III. Using these shared terms allows Arizona to align with language used across states and nationwide.
Arizona’s Educator Designations build on this framework by adding progression milestones within each designation to help guide educators along their professional pathway.
These designations also align with the Arizona Early Childhood Workforce Knowledge and Competencies (WKCs). While the WKCs outline the progression of knowledge and skills, the Educator Designations reflect the formal education path a professional takes to achieve them.
