What:
UArizona Cooperative Extension faculty will share strategies for finding children’s books by and celebrating indigenous people and communities.
Candice Tallsalt (Diné), a children’s book author, will present about the books she has written in English and Navajo
All participants will break into small groups to share and discuss books for young children that are written by native authors and/or celebrate native people and cultures.
After the session all attendees will receive a list of the books shared during the event and the first 100 attendees to sign up will receive a free copy of one of Candice Tallsalt’s books.
