Facilitate Children & Family Awareness of Community Resources Level 1 Recognize the importance of sharing community helpers with young children. Recognize the importance of sharing community resources with families. FCP 3.1.1 Level 2 Identify community helpers available to the children (e.g., firefighters, police officers, librarians, postal workers, and health care providers, etc.). FCP 3.1.2 Level 3 Develop, plan and provide opportunities for children and families to experience and/or interact with available community resources. FCP 3.1.3 Level 4 Develop policies and procedures that support the availability of community resources. FCP 3.1.4 Level 5 Advocate for community resources at the federal, state and local levels as well as with families, business, foundations, and academia that support children and families in the community. FCP 3.1.5 2. Facilitating Linkages Between & Access to Family & Community Resources Level 1 Recognize the value of knowing who, what, and where to find community resources that support children and families. FCP 3.2.1 Level 2 Acknowledge the value of and share access to community resources to meet the need of children and families. FCP 3.2.2 Level 3 Develop, plan and provide opportunities for families to access available community resources. FCP 3.2.3 Level 4 Establish effective relationships with community partners to ensure continuity of children’s learning and development and to ensure families’ awareness of these resources. Create, maintain, and make available to families and staff an up-to-date list of available community resources. Refer families to community resources for assistance. FCP 3.2.4 Level 5 Advocate for community resources at the federal, state and local levels as well as with families, business, foundations, and academia that support children and families in the community.
